Rickys River Bar & Restaurant

The food was divine. The service was excellent. We had a great view from our window seats. But it was so loud! We could barely understand each other at our little table for 3. There were quite a few large parties and families with young children. Definitely not a good place for a romantic dinner for two, which is a shame because the food and service and location were so good.

We returned to one of our favorites after many years and had high expectations. We were not disappointed! From start to finish the service, wine and food were amazing. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Hats off to the owners and staff for their passion and integrity. Crab pasta was just as tasty as we remembered. Raw seafood starters were great. The sommelier helped me pick a great white burgundy half bottle which complemented the food perfectly. Do yourself a favour and head to Ricky’s at lunch and enjoy the great views and wonderful experience.

We had an awesome dining experience here. Was hoping for a beautiful sunset but nature had other ideas unfortunately. The food and cocktails more than made up for that though and the river views were still pretty good. We had the kingfish ceviche which was divine, the octopus, crab spaghettini, Angus eye fillet and soufflé for dessert and all meals were delicious. The steak could be cut with a fork it was so tender. For a fine dining experience it is worth every cent for the quality of food, views and excellent service. Even on a Wednesday night the place was busy but you never felt that you were being neglected and the servers were always available and very attentive. There was no wait on food or drinks even during the busiest time. I would definitely go again for a special occasion or just to enjoy some cocktails at the bar and watch the world go by.

Food was delicious, cannot fault it at all. The service was terrible, very rude and obnoxious French waiter. We were seated at a tiny table for our family of four and our drinks, starters and entree were all served and cleared away within 30 minutes. Our mains came out minutes later and we definitely felt rushed. My guess is they thought because we had children (13 and 15) that we weren’t worth the time. Silly mistake as my 13 year old was the one to order the ousters and kingfish, my children enjoy quality food. The table next to us arrived minutes after us and had the entrees cleared away after our mains were done. The other table next to us arrived before us and were still eating their mains when our dessert was ordered. I have been visiting Ricky’s on and off for years, always impressed with the food but will not going back after this appalling service and experience. Far superior food and service experiences in Noosa to spend your money on.
